Victorian Scotland is an educational resource
developed with research and content provided by Cauldeen Primary
School, Inverness. In order to make the most of this resource,
you should follow the following steps:
Step
1 : Print out and keep the Mindmap Handy
The Mindmap
Diagram will help you keep useful notes as you explore

the sort of things you should be noting down.

Step
2 : Pick a category
Pick a Category
from the front page of the site to explore. You can do
any of the four main categories in any order you like. This will
show you an overview of the different subjects covered in each category
and allow you to start finding out about that particular aspect
of Victorian Scotland.
There are between 4 and 5 subjects per category. Click on the category
of your choice then click on the first available subject to continue...
Step
3 : Learn about Victorian Scotland
Read through
the content provided to learn about Victorian Scotland,
remembering to make whatever notes you need in your printed Mindmap.
Some sections have extra activities, worksheets and links to additional
information which you should examine and complete before continuing.
To continue to the NEXT part of the section you will have to answer
a simple question at the foot of the page correctly.
If you give the correct answer two things will happen:
1. You will gain some of the letters for the FINAL PASSWORD for
this section,. Collect all these letters then rearrange them into
a word related to this category to gain access to the game at the
end of the category.
2. You will be able to continue through to the next subject in this

Step
3 : Completing a category
At the end of
each category is an entertaining games or activity related
to the material you have just read.
However..
In order to reach this information you will have to discover the
correct password by taking the letters you will have gathered from
each of the secret password questions and rearrange them to make
the right password.
A clue is included at the end of each category to help you.
Once you enter the correct password you can continue through to
the game. You can also return to the games at a later date by clicking
on the "skip" button at the top of the page and entering
the same password into the box provided!
