Cauldeen Primary provides inclusive educational
experience for over twenty children with significant Special Educational
Needs. The school provides specialist provision for children across
the Highland area who have significant physical difficulties. Our
"catch all" policy enables the school to reflect the range
of young people within our community.
We are committed to meeting the needs of all the children within
school and our interdisciplinary working ensures the effectiveness
of this priority. |

The Scottish Society for Autism are the leading provider
of services for autism in Scotland, delivering a comprehensive range
of expertise in care, support and education for people with autism,
their families and carers. |

In 1962 a group of parents, frustrated with the lack
of provision and support for children with autism and their carers,
and whose children had been labelled 'ineducable' came together
and formed The Society for Autistic Children which later became
The National Autistic Society (NAS). Their aim was to encourage
a better understanding of autism and to pioneer specialist services
for people with autism and those who care for them. |
